Laxey Pipe Ltd. manufactured the meer bowls for Peterson, Barling, Nørding and others from the late 1960’s until 2001, when the Tanganyikan mines were finally played out.
"The 303 shape was introduced in the Late 1970s, so i would assume this Beauty dates from around that time, also the curvature of the Silver Nickel Mount is indicative of a 1970s era shaping, which would later sport a more squared mount.
This Gorgeous Peterson Block Meerschaum Smooth System 303 with Silver Nickel Mount, Fumed Bowl rim, and P-lip Vulcanite Stem is in Outstanding smoked Condition.
The Chamber is in Outstanding Smoked Condition.
The Meerschaum stummel is fully intact with Zero Cracks, Chips or Missing pieces.
The P-lip Vulcanite Stem is Jet black and Chatter Free.
The Silver Nickel Mount is undamaged and marked K&P Peterson.
The Smooth texture is beautiful and shiney,
And shows off a mottled golden Cream and mocha colored patina with a Fumed Bowl rim.
This Beauty, like The other System standard pipes by Peterson, features a well drilling, that ensures a cool, dry smoking experience.
The Mortice features a Delrin liner sleeve to ensure longevity.
